"Who do you want to become?"
It was the biggest question he grew up with, like any other student in his part of the globe, trying to solve in a different way every time.
But none of the answers were self satisfying. But had to find an answer for the same question right from grade 1 to graduation. Since the answers were not satisfying him, he tried to change the criteria of selecting an answer. He started to think of writing the most unique answer in the class and tried hard to find such a career, every time a two page composition was demanded. Rather he was afraid to say that he wanted to be a doctor or an engineer as he dreaded if that won't come true in future.
He had expected the slightest that he will ever had to face the most dreaded question, since he had successfully completed his Senior Secondary and Higher Secondary. But the first assignment in the Language class was waiting for him. The same old tiring question. This time he had to write in 500 words and this irritated him the most.
A flash-back to his academic records: To be very frank, he has studied in almost all disciplines while he reached graduation class. Every time it was a transition from Science to commerce, commerce to computers, computers to communication, and so on.
Even after all these he was not sure how he would face the question at the level of a graduation student. Being tired of the stupidity of the question, he even considered asking the teacher whether she wanted to be a boring grammar teacher right from grade 1. He was getting all the more irritated as he watched all other students writing their dreams out very seriously. Time was running out and soon it was the time to read out the articles. He was awaiting his turn with a blank piece of paper. Not sure, what to read or write and there came the teacher's gray look over the thick glassed spectacles and the word "next" fell in his ears like a grenade. He got up with the blank paper. As the whole class turned to him eagerly he said in a firm voice " I want to become a humanbeing...."
